Only 1 photograph per participant is allowed. Short Description (2-3 lines) of the photograph must also be given.
Eligibility: VI-XII (as of session 2020-2021)
There is no limit to the number of participants from a school.
Entries will be submitted through Google Forms.
The participants must provide the following during the time of submission:
Name of School
Name of Participant
Class studying in
Instagram Handle (Optional)
The photographs should have been clicked during the lockdown period, complying with the rules of the lockdown.
The participants must provide the original photograph along with the edited version. The edited version will be used as the official entry. The original photograph must be named ‘Original’ and the edited version must be named ‘Final’.
Editing should be confined to colour and basic exposure. Adding external elements like rain, fog, sun, etc to the photograph during editing is strictly prohibited. The addition of such elements will lead to disqualification of the participant.
The judging process is divided into two levels:
First Level – Photographs will be judged by the host school along with PhotoNest India Pvt Ltd, our media partner. The Best Photographs will be selected by the panel of judges.
Second Level – Shortlisted photographs will be uploaded on the Instagram Account. Voting will be open to all. The photograph with the most likes will be awarded the Viewers’ Choice award.
Awards: I, II and III Prize as per Judges Choice and Viewers’ Choice Award.
Kindly submit the entries latest by 1700 hrs on 22 May 2020.
A medico by education who followed his passion for photography and made it his profession. A new age photographer with his core genres being fashion, conceptual, fine art and advertisement photography. He boasts of an impressive resume with more than 20 certifications across genres in the photography domain, along with having worked with celebrities and brands like H&M, Orange Business Solutions, Mrs. Earth Universe 2017, Posh Pride, Dhanak and TEDx to name a few.
With a mentoring experience spread across schools such as DPS RK Puram, Tagore International School to corporates to the participants of The Arctic Expedition Climate Force 2019; he has been recognized as one of the most dynamic faculty we have on offer. Photography is not just his passion, but also a part of his DNA, and that is well reflected in his work.
Shahid Hashmi has been a successful commercial photographer for several years, few of his clients include Goethé Institute, Ireo, Sikorsky Aircrafts, LCS International-UK, GASCO, Discover ME, ADCO, Network International etc.
Shahid has travelled widely through Europe, Africa, The Americas, Middle East, Melanesia, and the Indian subcontinent for over thirty-five years.
During his travels, Shahid captures the immense beauty of our planet, its people & the incredible and untold stories of their everyday life. Each of these expeditions has been a unique challenge and a fulfilling experience for him.
During his expeditions, Shahid intimately engages with the people he meets, and documents their indigenous and unique lifestyle and culture. Over the years Shahid’s engagement with the cultural landscape of the places he visits and its threatened and endangered indigenous cultures has grown manifold, and he has been documenting this in his ongoing project, ‘Cultural Heritage of the world’.
Shahid has been conducting workshops for Nikon School MEA for several years, he has also been leading photography tours for Nikon Premium Members (NPM)- a Nikon MEA initiative where the members go on international photography expeditions with Nikon Mentors. Shahid is also a #NikonLegend and he is also featured in the Nikon 100 years celebration videos.
Shahid’s work has been exhibited widely in the UAE, the US, India and Europe. Shahid has been leading and teaching On Location Photography workshops around the world for several years.
